How Forthway works
Forthway is a coaching layer between counselor meetings. Counselors keep final judgment; Forthway keeps students moving in between.
1. Matching
Students complete a structured profile covering academics, testing, activities, interests and college preferences. Forthway uses only what the student actually enters to suggest reach, target, likely and discovery colleges — and explains both why each school fits and where it may not.
2. Coaching
Every week, students see a short list of specific actions. Each one follows the same structure: why it matters for this student, what to do, and when it is due. A dynamic four-year roadmap keeps longer-term work visible without overwhelming a sophomore with senior-year tasks.
3. Counselor Support
Counselors see the whole caseload: who is behind, whose list is reach-heavy, whose profile is incomplete, and who has not logged in. They can assign tasks, approve or dismiss recommendations, and leave private notes that students never see.

Action: Identify one leadership opportunity within an activity you already participate in.
Why: Your goals include highly selective universities, but your current profile shows limited leadership depth. Developing greater responsibility within an existing interest may strengthen the depth of your extracurricular profile.
